Grounding
SunPower high-efficiency systems must be installed with proper grounding and inverter configuration procedures in order to perform optimally to their specifications. This is to ensure SunPower panels only see negative voltage as referenced to ground.
For optimal performance in North American installations, SunPower solar panels should be used with SunPower positive ground inverters where the positive polarity of the array is connected to ground. The SunPower inverters listed above meet this requirement.
For optimal performance outside the United States, SunPower panels must only be used with transformer-based inverters where the positive (+) polarity of the array is connected to ground.

The SunPower Monitoring System enables you to optimize your solar investment and increase your savings on energy expenses. It offers convenient access to the solar energy production of your SunPower solar electric system, so you can verify system performance and optimize your energy output.
SunPower’s unique approach to monitoring provides flexible, convenient access to your SunPower solar electric system information anytime, anywhere. Using a high-speed Internet connection, you can login to view your solar energy production, environmental savings and other energy-related metrics through a user-friendly interface. Homeowners can also access solar system information via a wireless, wall-mounted display.
Monitoring is offered today to both residential and commercial customers.
